Legend!
Monday January 18 2010 - submitted by Stumps at 09:04am 0 Comments

We got there! Ostaker won his first [Fragment of Val'anyr] on 19th April 2009. On 17th January 2010, we got our first Three Lights in the Darkness kill and Ostaker finally got his [Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings]. It has taken 9 months, 2 sex changes for Ostey/Ostaker and a multitude of wipes, kills and patience but Ostey has his weapon and Adrenaline has achieved our first legendary weapon completion. It's fantastic for Ostey but also for the guild. Well done everyone, not those who were there last night, but everyone who was there for a single fragment-rewarding kill, enjoy your shiny DKP bonus =)

Plagueworks progress
Monday January 18 2010 - submitted by Stumps at 08:44am 0 Comments

After some tweaks, some practice, some more tweaks and some more practice combined with a couple of 10-man kills, both Festergut and Rotface bit the dust on Thursday. Festergut is a big test of everyone. DPS need to perform, Tanks need to get the right balance of threat vs Survival and healers need to cope with one of the more stressful fights thus far in ICC for them. After a disappointing previous raid night on him, we upped the raid DPS and eventually we nailed it with about an hour to go on the raid. We went in to Rotface which is arguably the more technical and involved fight expecting some practice but not probably a kill with only an hour left, but damn it we nailed that too - Erä has both quest items and now Shadow's edge is crafted too. Onwards to Shadowmourne! 1 hour later, 2 first kills, a completely frazzled raid leader and ooze kiter and a hell of a good night. Well done everyone.

Icecrown Citadel - The Experiment!
Saturday December 19 2009 - submitted by Stumps at 07:53am 0 Comments

The Experiment: To Kill the first 4 bosses in ICC without tactics and without bossmods.
Result: Success!!

Well this was a nervy choice for the officer team, but we decided to go with the spirit of vanilla and take raiding back a stage or two. I can only comment from my own perspective, but I thought it was fantastic. We killed all four first bosses within the first reset and did it all with Adrenaline-only information. That's frankly awesome guys., We did it with what seemed to be a real sense of enthusiasm from all and it felt a much more social, team-centred affair so that, despite there being two stand-out leaders, I assure you everyone contributed in their own way.
So long as the feedback remains the way it is, we'll likely continue and take this into the next wing and beyond.
Congrats to all the winners of loot, far too many to mention in one article, but well done nonetheless.

Big Updates
Friday October 09 2009 - submitted by Stumps at 07:30am 0 Comments

Ok lots to update here and yes, we all know I am a slacker.

First up was an awesome Iron Council: Steelbreaker kill. We persevered, we strained, we tweaked and damnit we beat it. Well done to everyone.

Next up - Hodir Hard mode. We spent considerable time trying out various methods and when we beat it boy was it close....1 sec to spare and I'll admit I thought I screwed it up and we were going to miss the kill through dots ticking after the cache was destroyed. Was an amazing thing to see those achievements roll past personally.

Also mention to the 10 man team who went in and decimated most of ToC hard modes. Was an awesome night and we got some great learning in on Anub'arak - it won't be long

First night of proper hard mode focus, first hard mode down! Was a fantastic effort and some good work followed on Steelbreaker. Keep up the improvement and we'll whomp our way through everything in our path.

Trial of the Crusader Progress
Wednesday September 02 2009 - submitted by Stumps at 08:45am 0 Comments

An update needed to display our continued progress week on week in the Trial of the Crusader.
All 4 bosses available have gone down, some certainly harder than others but all very doable. A shift in focus slightly ahead for the guild with an all out drive towards hard modes. Will require application and dedication and we will beat them all. Bring it on!

Yogg Saron tastes defeat in normal mode
Tuesday June 23 2009 - submitted by Stumps at 08:50am 0 Comments

This week I made the conscious effort to skip most hard modes and to focus on getting the Yogg Saron encounter beat on 10-man. Last night we went in and we did it. We tweaked some tactics, adjusted the way we approached it and everyone there worked on getting everything and were duely rewarded when the old God capitulated. Fantastic effort guys. We followed it up with some tidying up and with an Iron Council hard mode victory. Awesome night folks. Well done.

An anniversay and a guild to be proud of.

Well Adrenaline is famous. After articles on Larisa's blog 'The Pink Pigtail Inn' we found our exploits mentioned at wow.com (formerly Wowinsider). How's that for making a name for ourselves!! I am not going to go into specifics of the event, that has been done in the blogs and the forum posts, instead I am going to take my chance to say a few words about you lot. You're great, the lot of you and you joined in with the spirit in a fashion that we really hoped for. We're one year old as a guild and We show all the signs of a guild that can go from strength to strength. I have to single out my officers team, Sylvara, Zavyah, Thib, Arime, Zhaxs, Engli, Tordark and Antimon - you guys rock and I couldn't do it without you.

Here's to another successful year to come!
